STAY at AMA Stay is about more than simply inhabiting a place. It’s an invitation to put down roots, ground oneself, and gain the freedom to nurture ideas and find inspiration. It’s not just about “being”; it’s about conscious staying, immersing oneself in the surroundings, and creating a space where creativity can thrive.

AMA Art presents the exhibition STAY featuring works by Mirijam Heiler, who takes us on an artistic journey exploring the theme of HOME.

Through a minimalistic visual language, soft shades of blue and pink intertwine with rigorous, repetitive structures. These elements create a space for silence and reflection amidst the complexity of our times.

The artist brings her unique perspective and creative energy to this exploration of HOME, promising an intriguing journey through the nuances of this theme.

Mirijam Heiler explores themes of contemporary society in her work, choosing not to respond to the world’s noise with even louder imagery. Instead, her approach focuses on order and reduction. Her artistic language is defined by clear restraint: dominated by neutral tones, complemented by soft shades of grey, blue, and pink. Rigorous, repetitive structures and elements of nature form a unified whole that reveals subtle fractures. This reduced formal language provides guidance and space for reflection – a quiet yet impactful response to the complexity of our times.

Heiler’s works have been exhibited internationally, including at the Premio San Fedele (2023, Milan), Galerie Dorner-Bauer (2022, Kitzbühel), and the Architecture Biennale (2020, Timisoara and Belgrade). Among her recent projects are the design of the altar space in the Church of Barbian and the Room of Silence in Bolzano Hospital.

In our art auction at the end of each exhibition cycle, the works of all artists are auctioned off and all proceeds benefit a local project: the La Spona social centre in Pederoa. The centre offers employment and work to people with disabilities. Wonderful products are made and the people in the centre are supported by specialist staff. The focus is on developing personal and social skills as well as promoting work skills.

AMA Stay is not just about welcoming guests, but also about actively contributing to positive change in our region. With every piece of art auctioned, we create something lasting and meaningful together. Look forward to not only discovering inspiring art, but also contributing to a sustainable and supportive community.
