Inspiration arises when impressions flood our senses, uplift us, and shape new thoughts. The FOCUS exhibition at AMA Stay invites you to immerse yourself in this creative flow—gaining clarity, experiencing progress, and rediscovering the power of community.
Artist Emily Oberschmied captures this dynamic process in her work. Her intuitive painting approach follows no rigid composition but instead allows color, emotion, and expression to flow freely. The result is a collection of artworks that surprise, inspire, and encourage the viewer to pause and embrace new perspectives.
FOCUS is more than an exhibition—it is a space for reflection, creativity, and meaningful exchange between art, people, and the world around us.
Emily Oberschmied was born in 2003 in Bruneck and has been passionate about painting since childhood. For her, art is a way to express emotions and explore new perspectives. She is currently studying at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Urbino, where she continues to refine her artistic language.
She has gained valuable experience assisting in various studios in Bruneck and Vienna, expanding her artistic vision and honing her techniques. In 2023, she showcased her work for the first time at the Eckmuseum in Bruneck and participated in the collective exhibition "SURPRIZE" at the Palazzo Ducale in Urbino.
Her creative process is deeply intuitive, with color serving as a reflection of emotions and thoughts. The subject of her paintings emerges spontaneously, free from rigid concepts or rational constraints. For Emily, art is a dialogue, an exploration, and a continuous discovery.
In our art auction at the end of each exhibition cycle, the works of all artists are auctioned off and all proceeds benefit a local project: the La Spona social centre in Pederoa. The centre offers employment and work to people with disabilities. Wonderful products are made and the people in the centre are supported by specialist staff. The focus is on developing personal and social skills as well as promoting work skills.
AMA Stay is not just about welcoming guests, but also about actively contributing to positive change in our region. With every piece of art auctioned, we create something lasting and meaningful together.
