Analog Photography Workshop with Fabian Haspinger / Silbersalz
No display. No filters. Just us, an analogue camera and our own perspective.
On the move with an analogue automatic Point & Shoot camera and a black-and-white film with 36 exposures, we search for subjects, create stories, discover new perspectives and take photographs.
Guided by photographer Fabian Haspinger, we experiment with light, shadows, time, lines and perspectives. We talk about street photography, documentary photography and abstract photography. The focus is on image composition, abstraction and playful experimentation. We concentrate on what really matters. Shooting on film definitely slows things down. This kind of photography requires less perfection and more attention. Thanks to the camera’s automatic settings, we don’t have to focus on the technical side, but can fully concentrate on observing and capturing the moment. The results will remain hidden for a little while longer.
To finish the workshop, we meet for a shared aperitivo at Ama Stay (drink included) and visit the exhibition “Fuori stagione”. Afterwards, we collect your cameras, develop the films and send the negatives together with 10 × 15 cm prints directly to your home. The special moment comes when the envelope with your photographs arrives: you see your images for the first time and are taken back to the moments when they were created.
